We’re charity of the year for Mapperley Golf Club
Dr Jane Rowley
We are happy to announce that all the wonderful Captains and members of Mapperley Golf Club have adopted Trent Dementia as their charity this year, raising crucial funds to allow our support for local people affected by dementia to reach more people. Our project manager Dr Jane Rowley was invited to speak to the club on Captains Day and visited again to meet everyone at Ladies Day and was given a warm welcome.
She spoke with members about their own experiences and talked to the club about the work we do supporting people in across Nottingham.
Currently we support a weekly online craft group, a face-to-face group that meets in the Gedling area once a month, a monthly walking group, monthly drop in held in Nottingham city centre, annual outings throughout the year. We also work with people affected by dementia to create useful resources, offering information, advice, and guidance.
We also hold an annual Event in the Autumn where people gather to share their experiences and learn about the support available locally.
Please get in touch if you would like to know more about our work.
