Over the summer of 2021 Trent Dementia hosted a series of short monthly talks on Zoom.

The idea was to provide talks that would interest those people who were regularly attending other Zoom sessions facilitated by Trent Dementia as well as folk who didn’t attend what was already on offer. Anyone affected by dementia was welcome to attend.

So, in June, July and August there were talks on:

  • increasing wildlife in your garden,
  • taking part in garden surveys,
  • 1 000 years of history at Nottingham Castle.

The talks were all short – around 20 minutes each. And they were all illustrated with photos making them more engaging for those joining the meeting. We were also able to send out notes from the speakers in case folk wanted to follow up on anything.

All our speakers were great with the technology and handling questions from the “audience”. Huge thanks go to Andy Callow from Sherwood Garden Consultancy, one of our own trustees Mike Craven and Kim Turford from Nottingham Castle for their time.
