Report from Friends for Life about their Latest Outing

DEEP group outing to Whisby Garden Centre

It was one of the hottest Fridays of the year, a perfect day and perfect company when the Nottm DEEP Group Friends for Life, “Ay’e up mi duck”, hit the road.

Arriving at Whisby Garden Centre, just in time for a brew and strawberry scone, sat in a wonderful spot looking out over the lake full of wildlife.

Everyone felt totally at ease and away from the daily routine of  “Did you remember to…” ,  AND “What would you like to do today”. Replying only with those painful words “I can’t remember and “I don’t know”. Our thoughts are mixed up and always need leading, today was different when all could find enjoyment without plans, just relax and explore the shops and animal life, followed by lunch.

I would like to thank my wife (Cyn) for being our facilitator and my carer, all went eventually to plan.

Looking forward to another opportunity for our friendships to grow amongst our DEEP group, a feeling shared by the group.
